Color Square “Worry monster”
Color Square “Worry monster”
We have created a worry monster to help kids to ease and acknowledge their anxities and worries.
Children can do and paint their worry monster, design to look cute and friendly and offer a safe space to release anxieties at any time of the day. Sharing worries is a good way to feel heard and can help at bedtime. The worry monster have been recommended by psychologists to act as a waste bin for fears, troubles and other things that kids don’t always tell their parents.
Tell your kid to draw or write their worries in a piece of paper and put it inside the worry monster. Overnight the worry monster will “eat up” their worries, parents don’t forget to take the worries out before the morning.
How to do the worry monster:
Just download and print our template on white paper and kids can color, or print on colored paper if you prefer. Cutting the different parts of the monster, then they can use glue or tape or washi tape to close 3 sides of the “bag” and leave only a side open so that the children can put the papers of their worries. If you want you can put studs on their arms and legs to make them move.
The Worry monster may be hang on their bedroom door, just put some cord glued to the monster. creativity has no limits!
